Job Purpose:
12 month contract opportunity available within the PPM team of an International Life Assurance organisation to provide Finance change and support to the wider change portfolio. The role holder will be responsible for working closely with finance teams to review and where appropriate re-engineer processes using LEAN methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with colleagues to develop well controlled processes to deliver change across Finance in line with group, audit and professional standards.
Support the development and maintenance of key Finance systems, data warehouses and interfaces to meet the needs of Finance to support the operation and growth of the business.
Develop and support End User Computing solutions across Finance.
Configure and maintain data feeds through the Xceptor Data Hub and Reconciliation tools into SAP, adhering to documented standards.

Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in life insurance & financial services.
Experience of process and system design and development disciplines, ideally including change management.
Systems, control and process acumen.
Understanding of LEAN principles.
Excellent PC skills, particularly MS Access and MS Excel.
Excellent analytical skills.
Able to anticipate customer needs.
Confidence in communicating with colleagues at all levels.

Job Purpose:
Project Coordinator required to join a global financial services organisation to support the Project or Programme through co-ordination and administration of key activities including planning, budget management, application of controls, reporting and configuration management.

Key Responsibilities:
Support in the creation of, and help maintain, detailed Project Plans under the guidance of the Project or Programme Manager.
Ensure the Project Plan is maintained in relation to progress achieved and alert the Project or Programme Manager to actual or forecast deviations.
Support in the prioritisation and sequencing of work to ensure the project runs smoothly with due consideration for the constraints of time, cost, quality and risk.
Assist the Project/Programme Manager in the ongoing identification and management of dependencies both within the Project or Programme and in the wider Change portfolio.
Assist the Project/Programme Manager in budget maintenance, tracking actuals versus forecast and monitoring variances. Ensure appropriate use of financial tools to track spend.
Assist the Project/Programme Manager in the application and maintenance of project controls including risk and issue management, change requests, configuration management, decision and action log maintenance.
Assist the Project/Programme Manager to build knowledge and capability in Global Technology Solutions through Lessons Learnt maintenance and knowledge sharing activities.
Support the Project/Programme with the planning, preparation and control of meetings and subsequent outputs and actions. Including meeting bookings, agenda preparation, information packs, minutes and action progression.
Establish the Project/Programme document library in accordance with the current configuration management approach.
Manage the Project/Programme document library including storage, version control, distribution and sign off procedures are followed.
Take responsibility for time management and assist in the management of expectations with the Project/Programme Manager when assigned to multiple Projects/Programmes.
Build excellent working relationships with key stakeholders both within and outside the Project/Programme.
Provide presentations to key stakeholders as required to maintain awareness and commitment to the Project/Programme.
Act as an ambassador for Global Technology Solutions and consistently demonstrate behaviours in line with the organisational values.
Actively input to the development of the Global Technology Solutions, its people and capabilities.

Skills & Experience:
A minimum of 2 A levels or equivalent with a demonstrable understanding of the day to day matters arising in a Project/Programme environment and associated methodologies.
PRINCE II qualified is desirable.
1-2 years relevant business experience in a PMO environment is desirable.
Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
Good facilitation and presentation skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills and stakeholder management skills.
Experience of the Finance industry is advantageous.

Job Purpose:
Database Analyst required within a life organisation to put in place and aid in the enforcement of a strategy for developing and maintaining UWS databases and ensure the acceptable performance, stability, availability and governance of those databases.

Key Responsibilities:
Database performance - Play an influential role in monitoring and tuning of UWS databases to ensure performant and operational databases. Report and advise on performance bottlenecks and suggested solutions.
Operations and Support - Resolve systems issues related to database malfunction. Document issues and analyse usage in order to put in place preventative measures to reduce downtime.
Methods and Procedures - Provide significant input into the development, improvement and implementation of effective methods and procedures relating to: Database design, maintenance and use, Data storage and backup strategy, Database recovery policy and DR procedures, Database access and user privileges and Data protection, encryption and disposal.
Governance - Periodically review UWS procedures related to the storage, access, disposal and use of data.

Skills & Experience:
At least 2 years' experience in a database administration role.
General knowledge of all aspects of information technology infrastructure hardware and software and a good understanding of current developments in information systems.
Experience with Oracle and SQL server would be advantageous.
Knowledge of data warehouse solutions and development.
