Job Purpose
Qualified or part qualified Accountant is sought by an established Douglas-based Financial Services Group, to join an Accountancy division of the firm. The role holder will be responsible for the preparation of financial statements and tax and VAT returns for a portfolio of clients, also liaising with clients to understand their accounting needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of Financial Statements, Tax and VAT returns.
Providing timely and accurate reporting of financial information to clients.
Managing a portfolio of clients and liaising with them to understand their accounting requirements.
Working as part of a team, towards team objectives and deadlines.

Skills & Experience:
Part qualified / fully qualified ACCA / ACA would be preferred.
Strong communication skills, able to build working relationships with internal and external clients and intermediaries, including HMRC and Companies House.
Experienced in working autonomously but also as part of a small team.
Used to meeting challenging deadlines and managing diverse role responsibilities, developing knowledge as required.

Job Purpose:
Accounts Assistant required to join a leading Douglas based Retail Distribution Group on a permanent basis. The role holder will be responsible for providing accounting support and confidently managing relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
Processing invoices and payments.
Managing internal and external relationships across suppliers.
Investigating outstanding balances on Company statements.
Ensuring prompt payment to suppliers on a monthly basis.
Processing weekly revenues and bank reconciliations, highlighting irregularities or suspicious activity.
Ad-hoc office administrative duties as required.

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5 GCSEs at Grades C and above or equivalent qualifications.

Job Purpose:
ACA/ACCA qualified or part qualified candidate with experience in Audit, is sought to take on a varied portfolio of client work, from small local businesses to larger, more complex Audits, including Financial Services clients. Accounts production will also be an element of the role's responsibilities, with audit work including day to day project management of assignments. The successful candidate may broaden the scope of their experience with the client work & portfolio being undertaken and the opportunity should also give a more realistic work/life balance, with overtime being paid when this is required.

Key Responsibilities:
Working as part of a team, leading on site audit teams and providing an effective hands-on advisory role for a varied portfolio of clients
Oversees all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion
Prepares or reviews work papers and drafts of financial statements, including the production of advanced conclusions in respect of any technical and audit issues identified

Skills & Experience:

Senior Finance Technician required to join an established Financial Services Group. The role is responsible for day-to-day administration of a number of trading companies and also assisting the Finance Department with various accounting duties.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for assisting in the production of management accounts, VAT and tax returns, statutory accounts.
Joint management and control of client's bank accounts.
Assist the Group Financial Controller in all areas of the organisation.
Processing financial transactions through Sage and other accounting systems.

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role, and experience using accounting software packages.
Professional accounting qualification or part qualified is desired, but not essential.

A Fund Accountant is required to join a leading fiduciary, funds and professional administration services organisation. The role holder will prepare accurate and timely Net Asset Value calculations and maintenance of the books for a number of offshore fund structures.

Key Responsibilities:
Production of valuations to relevant accounting standards, legislation and best practice.
Controlling payment transactions.
Maintaining relationships with third parties.

Skills & Experience:
A Minimum of 3 years experience in Fund Administration.
Holds a recognised accountancy qualification.
Previous experience with Paxus (our valuation system) will be advantageous.

Job Purpose:
A Senior Manager, Mergers & Acquisitions is sought by a leading International Financial Services Group, to initiate opportunities for mergers and acquisitions and manage these through to successful completion and integration into the Group.

Key Responsibilities:
Researching and analysing the market to devise appropriate group strategies
Planning, preparing and leading/attending pitches with potential targets
Screening of potential acquisition targets
Supporting and/or leading deal negotiations, including the review of valuations and financial modelling and attendance at meetings
Manging and delivering M&A projects, from facilitating meetings, preparing project timetable, plans, reports and budget

Tax Manager required to work as part of a small and growing team. The role requires a spectrum of tax advisory work, together with some tax compliance responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Senior Finance Administrator required to join a well established Financial Services Provider. The role requires the management of a portfolio of multi-jurisdictional companies and trusts and undertaking a variety of administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
To assist with day-to-day and year-end finances and the production of responsibility invoices.
To assist in projects as and when necessary e.g. integration of acquisitions from a finance prospective.
