Finance Director

Job Purpose:
To provide support to the Isle of Man Group of Companies in developing an appropriate, compliant environment to influence and maximise profitable offshore sales within regulations. To provide efficient and effective Company Secretarial services to the Isle of Man Group of Companies. To lead the Finance, Actuarial, Business Risk, Legal and Company Secretarial teams and to provide support to the Isle of Man Companies developing an appropriate control environment to influence and maximise profitable offshore sales.

Key Responsibilities:
As a member of the Management Committee, contribute to the strategy and direction.
Work with the sales forces to maximise sales of offshore products through UK and international channels.
To contribute to the maintenance of the IoM Companies by the maintenance and development of key control and reporting processes.
To provide actuarial input into the development of the Companies, their products and systems to ensure that sales and profitability targets are met.
To ensure adherence to corporate, legislative, and regulatory policies.
To investigate, assess, manage and report on potential money laundering, counter terrorist financing and fraud cases.

Skills and Experience:
Qualified Finance Director with experience within the life assurance environment including actuarial.
Proven track record of running a stand-alone business unit with P&L accountability.
Understanding of UK distribution channels.
Financial management skills including understanding of key profit and cost drivers.
Strong operational management skills.
High level presentation and influencing skills.
