As a Investment Technician you will be part of a team and will provide technical support to the Investment Discretionary & Governance area. Responsibility will vary, depending on business requirements, but will focus on validation of administration process, remediation and provision of technical support to all other D&G functions.
Utilise expertise to support Corporate and Departmental change programmes or projects providing input to user requirements, acceptance testing and implementation stages.
Awareness and take account of industry initiatives and assist in developing International's position on these.
Utilise specialist knowledge to undertake root cause analysis investigations and complex queries investigation. Use in-depth technical knowledge to develop 'first line of defence' mechanisms to support risk framework or Financial Control Initiative (FCI).
Support Line Manager on the successful implementation of transformational and change programme initiatives within the team.
Demonstrates capability to manage unique events using experience and knowledge of regulations and policies.
Skills and Experience:
5 GCSE's Grade C or above, including Maths and English.
IAQ qualified or part qualified.
CF1 (or equivalent industry qualification).
Previous Financial Services experience.
Knowledge of regulations and proven experience within technical role.
Previous Investment Administration experience, specifically unit-linked fund administration.
Expert knowledge of MS Office products, particularly Excel and Word.
In-depth knowledge of all Investment Admin functions and pricing/dealing cycle.
Understanding of FCA Regulatory impacts and reporting requirements.
Awareness of Heritage products, price types and lifecycle of customers' policies (desirable).
