Job Purpose:
Finance Manager required to join a Law firm to lead a small team and support the Head of Finance with the day-to-day running of the Isle of Man Finance department.

Key Responsibilities:
Managing the daily workflow in the department
Monitoring the day to day financial operations of the company, including invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable and cash management
Supporting the month end process. This is a hands-on role and will require the successful applicant to participate in this process
Principal contact for financial issues from throughout the company
Preparation and submission of VAT returns
Preparation and distribution of management information within the business
Preparation of monthly financial statements for main and subsidiary companies
Preparation of annual financial statements for subsidiary companies
Liaising with other departments e.g. Compliance to ensure ongoing regulatory obligations are met

Skills & Experience:
Fully qualified in ACA or ACCA

Consistently produce work to high degree of accuracy working to tight deadlines
Experience and knowledge of VAT would be a distinct advantage

Job Purpose:
A vacancy has arisen for an Accounting Assistant to join the Financial Reporting Team of an international Life Assurance organisation. Reporting to the Management Accountant, this role will be responsible for contributing to the preparation of financial reports, and for monitoring the control environment for all balance sheets accounts in the general ledger system.
