A newly or recently ACCA/ ACA qualified accountant is sought to join a busy general accountancy practice and corporate service provider, as Assistant Manager. It is considered most relevant to have had previous experience within a general accountancy practice or fiduciary services background, rather than a Big 4 Audit background. The role requires working as part of a small team, reporting in to a Manager/ Partner and managing a portfolio of clients, including engagements from different business divisions.
Managing a portfolio of clients with varying requirements across the accountancy practice and corporate services divisions, this is likely to include:
Preparation of accounts and schedules and the preparation of financial statements.
Preparation and checking of taxation and VAT returns and assessments.
Administration of companies and liaison with clients and intermediaries.
Organisation and co-ordination of work for more junior team members, assisting with their training and development.
Skills & Experience:
Newly qualified ACCA/ ACA with experience in general accountancy practice or fiduciary services (Big 4 Audit is not considered to be as relevant to these role requirements)
Good communication and organisational skills, experienced with training and developing more junior members of staff.
