Job Purpose:
Trainee accountant studying towards the Certified Accounting Technician (CAT), required to join general accountancy practice and corporate service provider.

Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping including inputting client records.
Preparation of accounting schedules, financial statements, investment schedules and personal or corporate tax and VAT returns.
Liaison with third party institutions.
All aspects of trust and company administration which will include direct contact with clients.

Skills & Experience:
Ambitious and determined to study to complete the challenging CAT qualification.
An 'A' level or a strong GCSE school leaver, previous experience would be advantageous.

Job Purpose:
Trainee Accountant required to join a leading independent accountancy practice and trust and corporate service provider.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with all accounting and administration responsibilities for a portfolio of clients, reporting directly to a Manager.
Duties include bookkeeping and inputting of client records, preparation of financial statements, investment schedules, personal and company tax returns and VAT returns.
Assist an audit team on client premises or from the office as required, with the preparation of audit files and schedules.
Liaising with intermediaries such as banks, brokers and rental agents.
Undertaking administrative duties, filing and assisting other staff members as required.

Skills & Experience:
Graduate with 2.1 degree or higher, or a high A Level leaver.
Ambitious and determined to study to complete the challenging professional qualification of ACCA or ACA.
Excellent communicator with strong organisation skills and great attention to detail.
Individual required who is a willing to learn and take responsibility and ownership of tasks.
No previous experience is required as full training will be provided.

Managing a portfolio of clients with varying requirements.
Preparation and audit of accounts and schedules, and the preparation of financial statements.
Preparation and checking of taxation and VAT returns and assessments.
Co-ordinate the work for team members and assisting, supervising and training junior members of the team.
The assistant Manager will also be involved in conducting appraisals, training sessions and attending management meetings.

Skills & Experience:
Newly qualified ACA or ACCA.
An excellent communicator with strong organisational skills who is able to lead more junior members of staff.
Discretion, diplomacy and a confident approach are a must.
Broad experience covering all aspects of accountancy and the provision of corpora services.
