Accounts Assistant, Permanent Job, Isle of Man

Job Purpose:
Accounting Assistant required to join an international life assurance company on a permanent basis, the successful applicant will have previous experience within a similar position & will have commenced their ACCA/ACA studies.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly journal entries for expense accruals and prepayments in an accurate and timely manner
Classify costs accurately, reviewing expense postings to account codes and correct as necessary
Own and take responsibility for some sets of stand alone accounts
Maintain fixed assets register and reconciling against records
Compile and analyse transactional data for the month end expense reporting

Skills & Experience:
Have or be working towards an accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/AAT/CAT), or qualified through experience
Experience with financial reporting and management accounting
A good understanding of Microsoft Excel
Experience of using SUN or a similar accounting package
Proven experience within a similar role

Hours & Benefits:
