Assistant Manager, Permanent Job, Isle Of Man

Job Purpose:
An Assistant Manager is required to join a Private Banking organisation to Support the Onboarding Manager and team to ensure robust processes and procedures exist that maximize overall efficiency and team performance and lead to a positive overall client experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Onboarding Manager and ensure efficient workflow prioritisation by allocating appropriate Onboarding team resources to ensure that new applications are reviewed within pre-agreed time scales.
Act in a support capacity to assist with complex cases by providing evidence that business criteria have been met for new applications, that applications are within risk appetite and that the source of wealth/funds has been validated using appropriate tools and systems such as the internet, worldcheck / Finscan.
Deliver training, coaching and support on all application technical matters to other team members as required and critically assess processes within own team, highlighting opportunities to improve the client experience and improve efficiency
Develop and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of complex clients, gaining a deep understanding of their requirements and partnering with them to achieve their goals while ensuring the delivery of a high-quality service
Manage operational risks in accordance with local procedures, ensuring a complete understanding and adherence to the businesses risk management policies

Skills & Experience:
A minimum of 3 years previous experience in a Compliance, Risk, KYC or a New Business role, with exposure to AML (anti-money laundering) and CFT (countering the financing of terrorism) would be a distinct advantage
Previous experience in managing and developing a team would be advantageous
Understands and applies account application and submission processes and related activities
