Financial Controller, Permanent Job, Isle of Man

Job Purpose:
A Financial Controller is required for a Corporate and Trust Services company, to ensure that assigned duties are carried out accurately and effectively, under the direction of the Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities:
Agree and monitor internal controls for the company's accounting and financial procedures, as well as contributing to decisions regarding financial strategy
Produce quarterly management reports for various stakeholders, including shareholders, FSA and Board of Directors
Ensure the preparation of year-end financial statements for audit purposes, including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis reporting
Oversee all tax and regulatory accountancy issues, including VAT matters for specific structures
Provide accounting oversight to a small team
Review and sign off of Bank Reconciliations, creditor ledger entries and payments
Lead operational projects to drive efficiency within the Group

Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in finance management.
Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities.
Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals including Audit experience.
Experience of establishing, implementing and reviewing internal controls and procedures
