IT Operations Support, Permanent Job, Isle of Man

This is an excellent opportunity to join the IT department of a local life assurance firm. As part of Operations Support, you will be responsible for the daily support of the group’s network infrastructure and liaising with users for support of end-user PCs and printers.

The Role…

Your principal responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, chat and email, providing professional and friendly customer service and responding in a timely manner
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical hardware and software issues, researching any questions and advising users on appropriate action
  • Developing, documenting, and implementing standard operating procedures and customer service guidelines relating to IT support
  • Managing inventory of devices for company needs, including computer hardware and software, as well as systems and networks
  • Supporting end users in their use of applications such as Microsoft Office, CRM, VPN, Citrix, and MDM (mobile device management)
  • Facilitating and organising inter-departmental resources to ensure fluid technological management

About You…

You will need some technical knowledge and experience, including:

  • Sufficient working knowledge of IT and communication hardware, as well as Microsoft Windows Operating Systems to support servers, infrastructure, PCs and printers
  • Good working knowledge of the Mitel 3300 telephone system
  • Working knowledge of Exchange, integration and support to provide mobile user access as well as network access
