General Ledger Accountant, Permanent Job, Isle Of Man

Job Purpose:
Qualified Accountant required to join a wealth management organisation, the role holder will support the Financial control function in ensuring the integrity of the General Ledger through completeness and accuracy in recording the financial transactions

Key Responsibilities:
Preparation and posting all allocated manual journals and ensuring the review and approval process as per the Journal management procedures is followed
Monitor the booking of expenditure by the accounts payable department, to ensure that correct books and accounts are utilised i.e. prepayments & accruals
Transfer of data from source systems to the general ledger on a monthly basis, i.e. payroll
Co-ordination of monthly inter-company invoices
Reconciliation of all group inter-company balances on a monthly basis
Maintain an up to date Balance sheet Substantiation control page

Skills & Experience:
Hold a Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA/ACA/CIMA
A minimum of 4 years' experience in accounting support covering recording of transactions and reconciliations
Experience in a financial accounting, financial control or audit of financial services organisations
Working knowledge of SAP or banking sub-ledgers would be desirable

Hours & Benefits:
Full Time Permanent hours -9am -5pm
