Legal Secretary, Permanent Job, Isle of Man

A highly reputable Douglas-based law firm is seeking a Legal Secretary to ensure the smooth operation of the business. You will act as the face of the company.

The Role…

Acting as PA to the Managing Director, and assisting the Conveyancing Manager, your primary duties will include:

  • Audiotyping on a digital dictation system
  • Daily filing, computerised time recording and opening files
  • Visiting Court to deliver mail and collect mail from the box in its reception
  • Copying and certifying ID documents for clients
  • Typing monthly invoices to clients and preparing bills to submit
  • Ordering stationary
  • Taking telephone calls and booking appointments, updating the diaries of the fee earners
  • Recording all outgoing post
  • Preparing legal documents for court and wills
  • Occasional reception cover, meeting and greeting visitors in person, as well as by phone

About You…

You will work in tandem with another Secretary to create a welcoming environment for clients and visitors. Specifically, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a legal environment
  • Good administrative skills
  • A friendly and amicable disposition
