Senior Compliance Manager & Group MLRO, Permanent Job, Isle of Man

Job Purpose:
Senior Compliance Manager & Group MLRO required to join an expanding Financial Services Group, reporting into the Risk & Compliance Director. Role is best suited to a suitable experienced qualified compliance professional from a similar regulated financial services business.

Key Responsibilities:
To lead in the design/build and implementation of a financial crime (i.e. anti-money laundering, anti-fraud, combating terrorist financing and anti-bribery and corruption) programme to monitor compliance
Conduct an annual risk assessment relating to financial crime and incorporate conclusions into current policies and requirements
Management of remediation plans for any incidents of non-compliance with AML/CFT policy/procedure
Ensure independent reviews are completed for clients identified as high risk
Effective operation and monitoring of customer and transaction screening services, leading on the management and maintenance of outsourced services and service providers.
To prepare regular reports on the outputs of the monitoring programme
Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with client departments
Draft an annual MLRO report
Review and investigate suspicious activity reports and submit reports as a Nominated Person, where needed, to the FIU
Undertake the regulatory reporting responsibilities in respect of financial crime.
Co-ordinate the fulfilment of any ad hoc Orders received from regulatory or law enforcement agencies in a timely manner relating to AML/CFT

Skills & Experience:
Significant experience in a similar compliance & MLRO position within a regulated environment
Good working understanding and experience of financial crime, compliance planning and monitoring, corporate governance
Hold a relevant compliance qualification
Ability to communicate effectively with senior staff members
