Are you an organised individual with a flair for administration? Join a team as a Legal Secretary and play a pivotal role in supporting legal professionals.

The Role

As a Legal Secretary, you will provide essential administrative and file management support.


  • File management - updating and maintaining all files, ensuring documents are filed correctly

  • Printing, copying, and scanning of documents, supporting with high-volume jobs

  • Liaising with team members on workloads and ensuring deadlines are consistently met

  • Offering support to senior legal secretaries as required

  • Assisting fee earners with billing when necessary

  • Ensuring Proclaim is accurately and regularly updated for fee earners files

  • Producing court bundles in line with Advocate instructions and court rules

  • Ensuring compliance with firm-wide and department policies and procedures

  • Attending team meetings to take instructions and liaise on work requirements

  • Liaising professionally with clients, including answering calls and greeting clients in person

  • Maintaining accurate filing and archiving, both physical and electronic

  • Undertaking reasonable administrative tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the business

  • Assisting with reception and general administration duties as required

  • Typing reports, correspondence, and notes as needed

  • Providing general administrative support to the Advocate and other Directors



About You

We are looking for a proactive individual with excellent organisational skills.


  • Previous experience as a legal secretary or in a similar administrative role

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal management software

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work

  • Team player with a positive attitude
