Description

Join a dedicated and friendly team as a Legal Secretary, where you will be the backbone of the legal administration and client support, all while maintaining a collaborative, professional, and welcoming reception environment.

The Role

As a Legal Secretary, you will handle a range of essential duties to ensure smooth operations in a legal setting.


  • Arrange client appointments and maintain Court and fee earner diaries

  • Record and file time notes in a time recording software, including private invoicing and meticulous Legal Aid billing

  • Provide filing support for three fee earners and handle audiotyping of letters and legal documents

  • Coordinate postal duties, client communications, and local deliveries

  • Assist with client KYC, conveyancing searches, quotes, and admin duties

  • Prepare and manage Court bundles, archive files, and maintain outgoing post records

  • Conduct Green Form billing and weekly database searches for Wills enquiries

  • Complete AML training provided via an online Law Society course

  • Contribute to the general admin, including database searches and team tasks

You are a highly organised, detail oriented team player who is comfortable in a fast paced legal environment and always ready to help clients with a smile.


  • Strong administrative skills and previous experience in legal services

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Good organisational skills to manage time and handle various tasks efficiently

  • Familiarity with time recording software and invoicing processes

  • Strong teamwork skills, with a collaborative and supportive approach to shared tasks

  • Confident communication skills for handling client interactions both face to face and by phone
