The Role

Lead a dedicated team to deliver exceptional care and support to young people in a secure setting, upholding the highest professional standards


  • Oversee the management of the secure facility, including staff, budget, resources, and the welfare of young people

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and quality standards

  • Foster a secure, supportive environment that meets the needs of young people

  • Establish effective communication with other professionals, including education and health services

  • Implement and maintain safeguarding practices to protect and support young people

  • Provide leadership through effective staff recruitment, training, and supervision



About You

You are an experienced leader in children's residential services, dedicated to delivering the highest standard of care in a secure setting


  • Professional qualified with degree in social work or other level 4 qualification relevant to working with Children

  • Minimum of three years' experience working with children/young people in residential care

  • Proven ability to manage, motivate, and supervise staff in a residential setting

  • In-depth understanding of legislation and best practice related to looked-after children

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to build strong relationships

  • Ability to manage budgets effectively and ensure health and safety compliance
