Description

Our Receptionist, Day Unit and In Patient Unit, is the first port of call and information point for Hospice visitors and staff. To provide a warm friendly welcome to all visitors of the Hospice, help and support them, especially on their first visit and leave them with a positive lasting impression.

Key Duties:


  • To welcome all visitors and putting patients and families at ease

  • Escort visitors to their required area when appropriate

  • Make sure all visitors sign in and out using the appropriate signing in system

  • Deal with telephone enquiries in a friendly and professional manner and transfer to the relevant Department or their voice mail

  • Deal with incoming post in the morning and the outgoing post at the end of the day and if possible take to the post office / box

  • To assist other departments with mail out when required

  • To provide visitors with further information about the Hospice and its services



Weekday's - 9am to 1pm, or 1pm to 4.30pm (we can accommodate to suit individuals wishing to volunteer)
