Are you passionate about Education for all learners in the Isle of Man? Do you want to make a real difference to the future of education and training on our Island?

The Department of Education, Sport and Culture (DESC) is on a mission to inspire, empower and provide learning, sporting and cultural opportunities that support all children, young people and adults. In striving for excellence, be a forward thinking, inclusive and nurturing organisation which enables everyone to achieve, enriching the lives of community with the Isle of Man. They are looking for enthusiastic and forward thinking Education Council Members to join this advisory body to DESC. In this voluntary role, you will help being the conduit between the Department and its schools, acting collectively to create a culture in the best interest of the school community.

  • Passion for education and a commitment to lifelong learning.

  • Ability to act as the voice of the community, advocating for students and stakeholders.

  • Enjoy working collaboratively and building professional relationships.

  • Time to attend Council and Governor Meetings with prior preparation; support occasional events and initiatives.
