Description

Are you a commercially savvy legal expert with a passion for technology and innovation? A fast-paced telecoms and technology company is looking for a highly skilled Commercial In-House Lawyer to join their dynamic team and support strategic legal and regulatory matters across diverse jurisdictions.

The Role

Be at the forefront of legal strategy.


  • Advise stakeholders on legal and commercial risk and propose effective solutions

  • Review, draft and negotiate commercial contracts including hardware, software licensing, and consultancy agreements

  • Manage legal elements of reseller and managed service arrangements

  • Support contract lifecycle from RFP through to implementation

  • Handle disputes and manage litigation when required

  • Draft and update standard legal documents, including terms and master agreements

  • Provide legal input on regulatory matters, licensing, compliance and customer complaints

  • Support GDPR compliance and advise on data protection issues across jurisdictions

  • Collaborate on telecom-specific legal matters such as interconnect, wholesale and roaming agreements



About You

We're looking for a strategic thinker with a legal mindset and commercial edge who can hit the ground running.


  • Qualified lawyer in the United Kingdom, Guernsey, Jersey or the Isle of Man (or another jurisdiction of near equivalent basis, e.g., Ireland, other EU)

  • Strong post qualification experience (PQE)

  • Excellent drafting skills

  • Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts

  • Commercially focused and able to work independently while progressing key projects

  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple competing demands

  • Post qualification in-house experience preferably in telecoms or technology industries

  • Experience with data protection and GDPR compliance

  • Dispute resolution or litigation experience

  • Experience in a regulated environment, such as telecoms or financial services

  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage effectively across all business levels

  • Ability to translate legal requirements into clear business actions

  • Proactive with strong problem-solving and attention to detail
