Maintain and improve the gas distribution network:
- Carry out mains replacement
- Install new services
- Perform district governor maintenance
- Conduct Dial before you dig tasks
- Survey mains
- Disconnect services
- Handle general duties as required
- Support the Network Lead with Public Reported Emergencies
- Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on the gas distribution network
- Provide technical expertise to resolve hazards
- Collect and report operational data
- Investigate and control leakage on the gas distribution network
- Ensure accurate drawings of the distribution network are maintained
- Minimise disruption to customers
- Liaise with contractors, the public, and external agencies on site
- Participate in the emergency call-out rota (1 week in every 4 weeks)
About You
Bring your expertise to support our network maintenance and improvement
- Sound operational knowledge of gas distribution networks, Natural Gas and LPG
- Experience handling gas emergencies and their classification
- Level 2 City and Guilds Network Construction Operations CN02 Service layer
- Full clean driving licence
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Proven experience in a gas or similar industry (desirable)
- Main layer
- EUSR registered (desirable)
- N.R.S.W.A. Operative
- SCO trained
- Governor maintenance
