Description

We're looking for an insurance technician to assist senior account managers and accountants with the management and administration of their clients along with ad hoc team duties, with a view to maintaining exceptional level of service to clients.

The Role

This is an ideal opportunity for the right candidate to build a career in the Island's developing captive insurance sector, with exposure to an international portfolio of clients. You will:


  • Assisting, under guidance, in the provision of company secretarial services, including attendance at Board meetings, taking of Minutes at these meetings, and presentation of reports, where required

  • Assisting, under guidance, in the preparation of reports for Board meetings, and proof reading of these for accuracy

  • Develop an understanding of both the business, and client's business

  • Provide support, review/updating of claims bordereaux/reports, and arranging for claims payments on behalf of clients

  • Preparation and issue of policy documentation, to include policies, endorsements, debit notes and associated certificates

  • Ad-hoc support of various internal projects

  • Maintain all filing systems, including archiving

  • Other duties as directed



About You

This position will suit an enthusiastic individual who has excellent communication skills with an interest in this industry. An insurance background is advantageous, although not essential, as training will be given. You should have:

  • Commitment to the role, flexibility and willingness to work outside of the scope of immediate responsibilities

  • Excellent excel and word skills

  • Proven experience within a similar role

  • Highly organised with strong administrative qualities and high standards of accuracy
