Are you ready to take the lead in risk and controls management within a forward-thinking organisation? A financial services company is seeking a proactive Risk and Controls Manager - Policy & Risk to strengthen their governance framework and make a lasting impact

The Role

Shape and enhance enterprise risk management across the organisation


  • Develop and maintain the enterprise risk management framework

  • Collaborate with divisions to ensure risks are identified and managed effectively

  • Conduct control testing programmes and implement robust controls

  • Provide detailed risk and control assessments to senior stakeholders

  • Lead and participate in internal and external working groups

  • Support policy, project, and information governance initiatives

  • Contribute to the Authority's resource efficiency and professional culture



About You

Bring your expertise and passion for risk management to drive operational excellence


  • Professional qualification in risk management, internal controls, or audit (or a commitment to achieving one)

  • Experience within a risk or controls function in financial services or a public organisation

  • Strong knowledge of enterprise risk management frameworks and internal controls

  • Proven ability to analyse and summarise complex information accurately

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

  • Capable of managing competing priorities and working under pressure
