Are you a dynamic thinker with a passion for risk management? A Life Assurance company is seeking a motivated Risk and Control Officer to join their team and play a vital role in shaping the future of their client services department.

The Role

Step into a role where you�ll help ensure operational excellence and regulatory compliance across the organisation


  • Support the Senior Manager in embedding the Quality Assurance Framework within Client Services

  • Collaborate with second and third-line functions to address regulatory requirements

  • Conduct regular control testing and provide insightful feedback for continuous improvement

  • Analyse and evaluate risk events, documenting root cause analyses and proposing solutions

  • Promote open communication channels for risk reporting and mitigation

  • Ensure timely closure of risk event actions with robust evidence

  • Track action items and initiatives to ensure efficient delivery of objectives

  • Dynamic thinker with a proactive attitude and problem-solving mindset

  • Strong communication skills to engage with a variety of stakeholders

  • Previous experience in an operational processing team

  • Proven experience in a risk function with an excellent understanding of regulatory frameworks

  • Competent in Microsoft applications, including Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and Excel

  • Knowledge of the life assurance industry is desirable

  • Experience in a similar management role would be advantageous
